American Locomotive Company.

The American Locomotive Company was incorporated in 1901, the result of the merger of the Schenectady Locomotive Engine Manufactory with seven small companies. In 1955 it became Alco Products, Inc. and was acquired in 1964 by the Worthington Corporation. In addition to steam and diesel engines and generators, the American Locomotive Company also manufactured high quality steel and military tanks, with unsuccessful ventures in automobile manufacture (1905-1913) and the production of nuclear energy (1954-1962). Collection contains advertising and publicity, correspondence, financial records (annual reports, ledgers, etc.), technical drawings and technical manuals, maps, news clippings, personnel records, photographs, sketches and drawings, and more.

Collection of printed engravings, bank drafts, receipts, correspondence, newspapers, and road commissions from the Revolutionary War period (1775-1783) and beyond focusing on New York State.

Egbert, Perry T.

American engineer, worked for American Locomotive Company (ALCo). Correspondence, technical reports and drawings, cost information, etc., most of which relates to ALCo and its production of diesel engines.

Six volumes containing daily and monthly toll charges, some with users' names, exemptions, persons who pass free (various paging).

Mohawk Airlines.

Company founded in 1945 as Robinson Airlines Corporation; name changed in 1952. Headquarters: Ithaca, N.Y. Collection includes legal files, correspondence, clippings, press releases, statistics, financial records, reports.

Moses, Robert, 1888-1981.

The papers of the American city planner and administrator of the Triborough Bridge Authority and the Power Authority of the State of New York include bound and unbound reports containing articles, speeches, and clippings by and about Moses. Much of the material concerns transportation improvements and hydroelectric plants at Niagara Falls and Messena.

Papers of the New York City law firm, specializing in transportation law as it relates to commercial aviation. Collection includes accident reports, associated case files, Civil Aernonautics Board hearings materials, correspondence, memoranda, press releases, research and technical information, clippings, depositions, and exhibits entered as evidence. Also, material related to Stuart M. Speiser's lobbying efforts to obtain revision of the 1929 Warsaw Convention on international aviation, specifically his efforts to demonstrate the need for unlimited liability of carriers in international crashes.
