Papers of Laubach Literacy International, founded in 1955 by Dr. Frank C. Laubach to address the world-wide problem of illiteracy. Established as Laubach Literacy Fund, the organization later became Laubach Literacy, Inc., and finally Laubach Literacy International; in 2002 it merged with Literacy Volunteers of America to form ProLiteracy.
