An active member of the Poetry Society of America, Marguerite Harris bridged the gap between two generations of poets: the Imagist and Surrealist writers, and the Beats. The collection not only reflects her professional career, but also offers a unique insight into the life and work of a number of young poets of the 1950s, 60s and 70s.
