The collection also includes small diameter to large diameter concert series cylinders as well as home recordings. Recordings cover a broad spectrum: classical, musical theatre, operetta, ballads, patriotic, dance band music, jazz and blues, ethnic and foreign language, religious, military marches, comedy, opera, children’s music songs and spoken word, country, vaudeville skits, speeches, instructional systems, foreign languages, office skills and test recordings. Commercially produced phonograph disc recordings. Speeds range from 45 RPM to 78 RPM. Sizes include 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 9.5, 10, 11 and 12-inch. The vast majority of the collection is comprised of 10 and 12 inch 78 RPM recordings released by American record companies.

Hupka, Robert.

Robert Hupka was a recording engineer for RCA and Columbia Records, and worked closely with noted conductor Arturo Toscanini for many years. Collection contains test pressings of various Toscanini performances, including rehearsals and a small amount of memorabilia relating to Toscanini, recordings of Gregorian chants, and assorted other classical secular and sacred music.

The Frederick W. Schlieder Papers contain materials related to his time as a student at Syracuse University. They also include materials from his career as a professional organist and music educator.

Microfilm of 980 religious and secular compositions collected by Karl II von Liechtenstein-Kastelkorn during his tenure as Prince-Bishop of Olomouc (Olmütz) in the Czech Republic. Approximately 100 composers have been identified, including many associated with the imperial court of Leopold I. Works by native Moravians and Bohemians are also present. The compositions include complete settings of masses, vesperae, litaniae, ensemble sonatas, and balletti.

Dot Records

Collection of recordings and correspondence relating to the released and then recalled 1959 Dot Records' Poetry for the Beat Generation, featuring the poetry of Jack Kerouac (read by the author) with piano accompaniment by Steve Allen. 130 copies are believed to have escaped the recall. The recording was eventually released by Hanover Signature Record Corporation, later that year.
