Begins with a letter from Sears containing a brief sketch entitled "The Pace that Kills," possibly by an unidentified "W.B.". The sketch references author Stephen Crane and actress Della Fox. This is followed by an exchange of brief letters between Sears and L.B.R. about the piece, some of which are written as limericks.
